John McBirney was raised in Los Altos and is a third generation dentist. He graduated from Los Altos High School, UC Davis and UC San Francisco School of Dentistry.
Dr. McBirney has held many positions in professional organizations and does volunteer work in his community and at local schools. He is a member of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, the Peninsula Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the Northern California Academy of Dental Research.
His time away from work is spent with his family and enjoying outdoor sports. His wife, Madeline, is an art teacher and they have two daughters, Amelia and Maureen.
