Services

Restoring good health and beauty to the mouth can be accomplished using the of state-of-the-art cosmetic and restorative techniques we offer. Some of the many services offered at our practice are:
  • Cosmetic Dentistry. Teeth whitening or straightening, filling gaps, lenghthening worn or short teeth, replacing dark fillings. We make all of these transformations possible with the latest cosmetic solutions, using tooth colored fillings, crowns and veneers.
  • Family Dentistry. A child's first visit (and every visit) to the dentist should be a happy experience, beginning a lifetime of great dental health. With regular checkups and motivated parents, modern preventive methods can help avoid cavities, drilling, gum infection and bite problems that previous generations thought were unavoidable.
  • White fillings and crowns. Silver fillings are obsolete and you can have natural-looking, stronger replacements that look better, feel better and work better than the old ones.
  • Implants. These artificial tooth roots are incredible! They allow replacement of missing teeth without dentures or bridges attached to natural teeth. They actually support replacement teeth better than natural roots because they can't get cavities and are very solid in the jaw.
  • Veneers. These thin ceramic shells make front teeth whiter and straighter where they are worn, cracked, stained or crooked.
  • Clenching/Grinding Management. The Silicon Valley high-pressure lifestyle has caused an epidemic of destructive tooth grinding and clenching. At as early an age as 20 or 30, worn, cracked teeth and painful gums can make you look and feel much older and shorten the life of your teeth. If you have teeth visibly worn or cracked, or sensitive to cold, biting, heat, sweet, or touch, you are probably clenching or grinding your teeth without knowing it. There is simple preventive treatment for this that can reduce pain and future dental repairs!
  • Prevention and Detection of Gum Disease. Gum disease is one of the most widespread and undetected diseases in the United States and has been proven to contrubute to heart disease and many other infections. Infected gums allow millions of bacteria to enter your bloodstream and travel all through your body. A thorough gum exam is the only way to accurately evaluate gum health. This includes measurement of the spaces between gums and teeth, where infection starts, and noting where they bleed (a sure sign of infection).
  • Sealants to Prevent Tooth Decay. Cavities often start in grooves of back teeth and most can now be prevented with good oral hygiene and sealants. A thin layer of tough white resin filling material is flowed into the grooves to seal them, usually after cleaning with a mild sand blaster to remove stain and decay. Adults and children can now often avoid the cycle of filled, refilled and crowned teeth if early stains and decay are treated with this conservative method.
  • Teeth whitening. This exciting treatment allows you to have whiter teeth in about a week without shots, drilling or any dental work. It's safe and it's a permanent change, not just a surface coating.
